Shamah

Named for the Hebrew word shama: to hear, and to respond.

A guided daily practice for loving God with your whole self

Most of us know a lot about God. Shamah helps you slow down long enough to bring your whole life into the conversation.

Built around Jesus’ invitation to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, Shamah guides you through four movements each day.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.”

Mark 12:30
  • Heart

What am I feeling? Slow down and notice what’s happening inside you.

  • Soul

God, what are You saying? Bring your real life honestly to God and listen.

  • Mind

What does Scripture say? Bring what you’re experiencing into conversation with God’s Word.

  • Strength

How will I live and love differently today? Turn what you’ve received into a practical next step.

The goal is simple: to help you become less fragmented and more integrated as you learn to love God and others with all of who you are.

Every morning, a new audio guide walks you through Scripture, guided prayer, reflection, and a short journal. Spend ten minutes or thirty—in the car, on a walk, or in your favorite chair.

Spiritual direction for artists, leaders, and people in transition

The same curiosity that shapes my songs and films shapes the way I sit with people.

For years I’ve walked alongside artists, leaders, and creators who were tired of living split in two. We slow down, listen for God together, and look honestly at what’s happening underneath the work, so creativity, faith, and the inner life stop being separate pursuits.

One-on-one direction
Regular, unhurried conversations to notice where God is present in your actual life, and how you want to respond.
Men’s cohorts
Small groups of men doing honest heart work together over time.
Teams, retreats & speaking
Sessions for creative teams, churches, and gatherings on prayer, presence, and the Enneagram.

“…this one by far has had the greatest heart impact on me.”

Film, conversation, and craft

Across film, conversation, and design, I keep following the same thread: make something that carries beauty, meaning, and soul.

Dear Friend,

Letters, prayers, songs, and reflections to steady you and remind you that God is near in the ordinary hours.

We are called to live from love, not for love.

Some read like psalms, some like poems, some like a conversation by the river. They arrive by email, free.
